A young life taken too soon, money was raised in memory of Sean Finch, Matthew's soon to be uncle after a motorcycle accident took his life in April 2016, just shy of his 30th birthday. Sean had just graduated at the top of his class from MMI, Motorcycles Mechanics Institute. Money donated was used to purchase tools for a 2017 graduate.
MWS Race Team was proud to be part of Chirstmas in Montrose Jingle Bell Run in 2018, 2019 & 2021. Proceeds went to Interfaith in 2018 & 2019. 2021 proceeds went to Christmas in Montrose Fund and MWS Race Team.
After a devastating fire tore through their family owned restaurant in 2018, our community rallied around the beloved Amato Family to support them and their employees through the sudden loss of their business and income. Original Italian Pizzeria and Restaurant has been a favorite in our small town as a place to go for good company and mouth watering food in a warm, homey setting and staff that are like family! $5300 was raised via GoFundMe and direct donations. The Amato Family expresses their gratitude for everyone's generosity!
MWS Race Team members strive to be Heroes in our communities! As needs of charities, businesses, families or individuals arise, we are here to rally behind them. If you want to have your own fundraiser, but not sure where to start, give us a call! We can help with event planning, advertisement, registration & race timing, volunteering or participating!
MWS Race Team and the 2016 graduating class of Pennsylvania State College of Nursing, Worthington Campus organized "The Flight of the Nightingales" Run/Walk to benefit the Jaclyn Mazur Memorial Scholarship. Every year, the graduating class raises money for this scholarship to be awarded to an incoming nursing student.
Florence Nightingale, also known as “Lady of the Lamp” was an influential figure in the development of modern nursing. She defined the role of nurses, set standards of care and established the first scientifically based nursing school.
This event took place at beautiful Lake Scranton.

In January 2018, our dear friend and running partner Deb Kessler ran a marathon. Two months later, she was diagnosed with lung cancer that had spread to her bones and brain. During her marathon, Deb had chosen one verse to meditate and pray about for each mile. One of her verses was
"Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith."
She is an inspiration to all of us and a true light of Christ.
RUNherRace was created by our friend Stephanie Clark after Deb had told her that this battle with cancer was HER race. We wanted to to run this race with her and for her! With 66 runners and countless volunteers, we were able to raise just over $5000 for the Kessler Family!
Our many prayers were answered when it was found that due to a rare gene mutation, the doctors are able to do targeted therapy. and Deb is doing well. Continued prayers are welcomed for Deb's recovery as she continues to get stronger.
